 The story of Esther presents to us a young woman who had lost her parent at a tender age or even as a child and had to grow up under the supervision and care of her uncle Mordecai. Though she already had things falling apart, an orphan in a strange land. We see a young woman that did not allow her past or what she had lost to deprive her of the future well planned by God and her destiny.
